Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler Lip for BMW F10 5 Series / M5 Sedan
Accent the rear trunk contour of your F10 sedan with a molded carbon-fiber spoiler finished in gloss clear coat. This product's detailed source lists selected 5 Series Base/M Sport sedans as well as M5. It is a trunk styling component, not a complete replacement trunk lid or a roof spoiler.
Source-Listed Applications
- BMW 5 Series F10 Sedan, Base/M Sport.
- Petrol model names: 520i, 523i, 528i, 530i, 535i and 550i.
- Diesel model names: 518d, 520d, 525d, 530d, 535d and M550d.
- BMW M5 F10 Sedan.
Verify the specific model year and chassis before ordering. The original source groups these applications under 2011–2018 without a verified model-by-year table. The later 2017–2018 endpoint and its F10/M5 combinations require verification. The title and SEO therefore do not present this grouped range as established year-by-year compatibility.
Confirm VIN, production date, regional model year, chassis generation, trim and the actual trunk-lid contour. Do not rely on registration year alone. Listed engine names do not confirm every drivetrain or regional model-year combination, and an overlapping year or badge does not establish fitment on a later-generation 5 Series or M5.
The detailed source specifies Sedan. Touring/wagon, GT/hatchback, long-wheelbase variants and modified trunk lids are not confirmed applications. Existing hidden entries for 2010, 2018, hatchback, ActiveHybrid 5 and xDrive configurations do not independently expand the detailed fitment. General tags mentioning 540i, M550i, Competition or a high-kick profile also do not establish those applications or a specific spoiler geometry.
Trunk and Existing Spoiler Checks
Compare the intended mounting footprint with the actual trunk surface. The source does not specify whether an existing factory or aftermarket spoiler must be removed, whether this part fits over one, or whether old mounting holes would be covered. Verify those details before disturbing original trim. Base, M Sport and M5 names in a grouped list do not eliminate the need to check the individual trunk profile.
Material and Finish
- Specified material: genuine molded 3×3 weave carbon fiber.
- Gloss surface with a double-layer UV-protected clear coating.
Dry-carbon construction, full laminate composition, curing process, dimensions and measured component weight are not supplied. Measured weight savings and permanent resistance to fading are not established.
Package and Attachment
The trunk spoiler and installation tape are listed. Exact molded piece count and tape quantity are not itemized. Screws, brackets, clips, replacement trunk hardware and additional adhesive products are not listed as included.
The source describes no-drill mounting with double-sided tape. Confirm correct fit and appropriate adhesive retention on the actual contact surface before fitting. Included tape does not establish compatibility with every painted, wrapped, repaired or altered surface.
Installation Guidance
Test-fit before removing adhesive backing or disturbing existing trim. Professional installation is recommended if the trunk contour, existing spoiler or surface condition is uncertain. Do not drill or force a mismatched part into position.
Prepare clean, dry contact surfaces and follow the adhesive manufacturer's application-temperature, pressure and curing instructions. Verify full trunk opening and closing clearance, latch operation, rear visibility and unobstructed lights, camera and release controls where fitted. The original visibility claim must be checked on the actual vehicle rather than assumed.
Confirm secure attachment before driving and recheck as advised by the installer. Do not use the spoiler as a trunk handle or lifting point.
Performance Scope
This listing describes an exterior styling upgrade. No measured drag, downforce or vehicle-stability results are supplied, so reduced drag, increased downforce, improved handling and structural protection are not promised.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it only listed for M5?
No. This product's detailed source also lists selected F10 5 Series Base/M Sport sedans. Verify the actual model and mounting contour.
Does the source's 2011–2018 wording guarantee every year?
No. It is a grouped range without complete year-by-year confirmation, and the later endpoint requires checking.
Does a hatchback filter entry confirm GT fitment?
No. The detailed fitment specifies Sedan; other body styles require separate verification.
Is tape included?
Yes. Tape is listed, but its quantity and additional adhesive consumables are not specified.
Is it no-drill or dry carbon?
The source describes no-drill tape mounting, subject to correct fit and retention. It does not confirm a dry-carbon manufacturing process.
