Why the Higher Wing Profile on the S550?
The S550 Mustang's rear deck is longer and flatter than previous Mustang generations — a trunk surface that accommodates a taller rear wing without the wing visually overwhelming the car's proportions. A higher wing stance on the S550's rear trunk generates downforce at a higher elevation above the trunk surface, where airflow velocity is greater and downforce generation is more efficient.
