Carbon Fiber Fuel Cover Trim for Ford Mustang S650
Add a gloss carbon-fiber accent to your Mustang's fuel-cover area. The original listing calls this part a fuel cap/tank cover and specifies tape mounting. It does not identify the exact mounting surface, so confirm whether the supplied trim attaches to the exterior fuel door or another cover before purchase. It is not documented as a replacement fuel-system sealing component.
Listed Vehicle Fitment
- Ford Mustang S650.
- Model year: 2024, as identified in the original title.
- Body styles listed: Coupe and Convertible, 2-door.
Confirm your exact trim, existing fuel-cover shape and intended attachment surface before ordering. The source does not separately verify individual trims or market-specific configurations. Compatibility with GT, EcoBoost, Premium, Dark Horse or later years is not individually established by the supplied details.
Material and Finish
- 3×3 weave carbon fiber, according to the supplied material specification.
- Glossy surface with a double-layer UV-protected clear coating.
The original title uses “dry carbon,” but the detailed specification does not document dry-carbon construction or a curing process. Confirm the manufacturing specification if dry carbon is a purchase requirement.
Installation
Mounting tape is listed as included. The source describes installation without modification, but does not provide a mounting diagram or clarify whether original trim must be removed. Verify the correct position and attachment instructions before installation.
Test-fit and align the trim before removing the adhesive backing. Clean and dry the intended mounting surface and follow the adhesive manufacturer's preparation and curing instructions. A fixed installation time is not promised; preparation and adhesive curing requirements vary.
Keep the filler opening, seals, hinges and release or locking components unobstructed. Check full opening and closing and normal refueling access after fitting. Do not place trim or adhesive inside the fuel opening or use this decorative part to replace a sealing component. Professional installation is recommended if the mounting position or secure attachment is uncertain.
Package Details
The source lists fuel-cover trim and mounting tape. Exact piece count, dimensions and accessory quantities are not specified. A complete fuel door, hinge, locking mechanism or fuel-system cap is not confirmed as included; verify contents before purchase.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an exterior fuel-door overlay?
The tape-mounting specification suggests decorative trim, but the exact attachment surface is not identified. Confirm the part's shape and intended location before purchase.
Does it replace a fuel-system cap or seal?
That function is not documented. Treat it as decorative trim, not a fuel-system sealing replacement.
Is dry carbon confirmed?
The title uses that term, but the detailed material specification only identifies 3×3 weave carbon fiber.
Is tape included?
Yes. Mounting tape is listed. Follow its surface-preparation and curing instructions.
Does it fit Subaru BRZ, Toyota 86 or Scion FR-S?
Those vehicles appear in the original hidden tags, but the explicit application identifies Mustang S650. The retained tags do not establish those additional applications.
