Installation Notes
- Professional installation recommended. Confirm 2010–2016 Equinox or 2010–2016 Terrain, and front right (passenger side) position before installation.
- The 2005–2009 Equinox (1st gen) and the 2017+ Equinox (3rd gen) both use different front axle shafts despite sharing the Equinox name.
- Inspect the front left axle shaft condition simultaneously — if both show similar wear, consider replacing both at the same time.
- Use a new axle nut and torque to GM OEM specification per your service manual. Do not reuse the existing axle nut.
- Verify proper seating of the inner joint into the transmission/differential before torquing the axle nut.
