Mercedes-Benz C217 / A217 S500 S550 Sport Carbon Fiber Fog-Area Covers, 2015–2017 Pre-Facelift

Carbon Fiber Front Bumper Fog-Area Covers for Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Add gloss carbon-fiber detailing to the front bumper fog-light/air-vent area of the listed S500 and S550 Sport applications. These are exterior trim covers, not complete fog lamps, electrical lighting assemblies or a full bumper.

Listed Vehicle Fitment

• Mercedes-Benz S-Class S500 / S550 Sport.
• C217 Coupe and A217 Convertible.
• Source-listed years: 2015, 2016 and 2017, pre-facelift.
• Not for C217/A217 Base or AMG models.

The source groups both chassis, model names and years together rather than supplying a year-by-year regional application table. Confirm VIN, build date, regional model designation and the actual Sport bumper and vent profile before ordering. The combined range does not establish that every chassis/model combination was available or compatible in every year.

Sport bumper terminology should not be treated as confirmation of AMG-model fitment. S63/S65 AMG, facelift bumpers, W222 Sedan, conversion bumpers and aftermarket bumper profiles are not established applications. Existing hidden tags include 2014 C217, but the detailed fitment starts at 2015; those tags do not extend the confirmed source range.

Material and Finish

• Detailed material specification: 3×3 weave carbon fiber.
• Gloss finish with a double-layer UV-protected clear coating.

The original title says dry carbon, but the detailed specification does not confirm a dry-carbon manufacturing process. Dry-carbon construction therefore requires verification. Laminate composition, curing method, dimensions and measured component weight are not supplied. No aerodynamic, cooling or handling improvement is promised.

Package and Mounting Details

The source lists the covers and installation tape. Exact piece count, left/right contents and tape quantity are not itemized. A two-piece pair is not confirmed solely by the plural name. Screws, replacement clips, brackets, lamps, bulbs, connectors and wiring are not listed as included.

The source describes tape installation without modification. However, the exact covered surfaces and whether existing vent trim must be retained or removed are not detailed. Verify the mounting footprint and installation arrangement before purchase. Do not assume these covers replace a complete grille or vent assembly, filter air or add fog-light functionality.

Installation Guidance

Professional installation is recommended if bumper configuration or attachment is uncertain. Test-fit before removing adhesive backing or disturbing factory trim. Do not drill, force the cover onto a mismatched contour or use adhesive to compensate for an incorrect part.

Prepare clean, dry mounting surfaces and follow the adhesive manufacturer's application-temperature, pressure and curing instructions. Confirm suitable retention for the actual part and mounting surface rather than assuming that included tape suits every condition.

Keep required air passages, existing lights, parking sensors and other fitted equipment unobstructed. Check secure attachment and normal operation of affected vehicle equipment before driving. These covers do not add lighting equipment and are not established as structural impact protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the source include A217 Convertible?
Yes. The detailed fitment lists C217 Coupe and A217 Convertible, subject to matching Sport bumper profiles and verification of the specific year and regional configuration.

Will these fit Base or AMG bumpers?
No. Base and AMG models are explicitly excluded in the source fitment.

Are fog lamps included?
No lamps or electrical components are listed. This is an exterior trim-cover listing.

Is dry carbon confirmed?
The title says dry carbon, but the detailed material specification only establishes 3×3 carbon fiber. Verify the process before relying on that claim.

Are tape and a left/right pair included?
Tape is listed. Exact cover quantities and side allocation are not itemized and require confirmation.
